The recalled products do not have the proper consumer chemical labelling required by the Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulations, 2001 under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act. The product contains linseed oil which can undergo spontaneous heating, leading to ignition of the product. The lack of the required warnings could lead to improper use of the product and present a flammability hazard leading to serious injury or fire. Materials used with the product, such as rags, may spontaneously self-ignite, even with no source of ignition like a spark or flame. As of February 10, 2025, the company has received no reports of incidents in Canada, and no reports of injuries.

The climbing ropes can weaken and break, posing a fall hazard to consumers. As of February 11, 2025, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. However, in the United States, Setsmart has received 13 reports of the recalled ropes breaking, including one report of a fall that resulted in a severe spinal cord injury.

NOW Eucalyptus Globulus Oil recalled due to lack of labelling information

The recalled product does not meet the labelling requirements of the Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulations, 2001, under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act. This product poses an aspiration hazard if inhaled or ingested. The lack of appropriate labelling information could result in unintentional exposure to the product and lead to serious illness or injury, including death. Aspiration into the lungs can occur when the product enters the lungs directly or is coughed up or vomited after being ingested. This coughing/vomiting could cause small particles of the product to travel into the lungs, or the product may be inhaled directly in the form of a fine mist. This may result in serious health effects. As of February 14, 2025, the company has become aware of one reported incident of a child accidentally ingesting the oil.

This recall involves one lot of CanWe Grower Inc.'s 7ASHISH Lebanese Blonde cannabis extract. This product was sold through the Ontario Cannabis Store and through authorized retailers in Ontario. Hazard identified The product label has incorrect cannabinoid values, where the total THC labelled is lower than the actual THC. To date, CanWe Growers Inc. has received three complaints regarding the labeling. Health Canada has not received any complaints related to the recalled lot. Neither CanWe Growers Inc. nor Health Canada have received any adverse reaction reports for the recalled cannabis product lot. Number Sold 4176 units of recalled product were sold. Time Period Sold The recalled product was sold from January 10, 2025 – February 12, 2025.

Reese branded hitch receiver locks recalled due to potential crash hazard

The subject products contain a cap that may lose its retention over time and/or under certain operating conditions and can separate from the pin. The hitch may separate if the hitch lock backs out of the hole alignment between the hitch and the drawbar/ball mount. If the trailer is not using safety chains, the trailer could separate from the vehicle, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash. As of February 4, 2025, the company has received one report of minor vehicle damage in Canada, and no reports of injuries.

Canyon Speedmax Bikes recalled due to injury hazard

Canyon Speedmax CF models R073 and R41 with a V21 Aerostem can, in rare instances, sustain a crack or break of the fork steerer tube, leading to a potential detachment of the cockpit assembly (stem and handlebar), mostly after a harsh impact such as hitting a deep pothole or another similar stress event. This might lead to a fall or in severe cases, injury depending on the situation and the rider’s environmental conditions. As of February 12, 2025, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.
